Fulgham Rites Held
Funeral services for Andrew Phillip Fulgham, 71, of West Point were held at 2 p.m. today from the Double Springs Church with Revs. C.H. Martin Jr., Gwen Middleton, Freddie Steelman officiating. Burial followed in the Double Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Fulgham, a retired farmer, died at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Ivy Memorial Hospital following an illness of several months.
Born at Maben, he was the son of the late Jonathan and Mary Jane Fulgham. He had made his home in West Point for seven years, where he moved from Oktibbeha County after retirement.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lema Ada Reed Fulgham of West Point; two sons, Walter and Elwood Fulgham, both of West Point; six daughters, Mrs. Era Mae Howard, Kilmichael, Miss., Mrs. Christine Shurden, Starkville, Miss., Mrs. Ruby Reed, Fayette, Ala., Mrs. Dorothy Shurden, Mathiston, Miss., and Mrs. Betty May, West Point, five brothers, Vester, Leroy, Tommy and John R. Fulgham, all of Starkville, and Joe Elmer Fulgham of Maben; two sisters, Mrs. Becky Vaughn and Mrs. Ida Reed, both of Maben; 30 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Barry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
