Bonnie worked for Del Monte as their office clerk for several years. Bonnie then went to work for the Suter Company in Sycamore. Bonnie lived her entire life in the DeKalb community and she was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb. Bonnie loved her pets, especially her dogs, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and going to watch White Sox games. She graduated from DeKalb High School class of 1963, and then attended Kishwaukee College.
Survivors include her sisters, Barbara Wales of DeKalb and Deborah Swanson of Orland Park, Ill.; nieces, Kim Wales of DeKalb, Jacqueline (Robert) Schimmenti of Greensboro, N.C., Rebecca Wales of DeKalb and Amanda (Lucas) Kollar of Rock Falls, Ill.; great-nieces, Adria and Chiara Schimmenti; and great-nephews, Matthew Sparks, Samuel Kollar, Ethan Kollar and Justin Kollar.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home with Father Kenneth Anderson of St. Mary Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow services at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011, from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
