GETS HONOR

Local veterans organizations will honor the grave of Roy Wesley Robinette tomorrow as part of Memorial Day ceremonies. A brief memorial services will be conducted at 9 a.m. at Carlsbad Memorial Cemetery by the Disabled American Veterans.

Robinette, a member of the local American Legion post, died Friday at a local hospital. He had served as a Seaman First Class in the Navy During World War II.

Organizations which will take part in the service will be the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and local units of the National Guard.

Col. E.K. Neumann will speak and Roy Norris, member of the DAV and past commander of the VFW will be master of ceremonies.

An earlier service scheduled for 5 a.m. will be conducted by Carlsbad Masons at the cemetery. Members of veterans organizations and National Guard will also participate in that service.
