Wife of Gerald (Jerry) Eugene Edington in 1948

Margie and her husband operated Edington Flower and Garden Center out of their Point Place home for over 25 years.

While a passenger in a car driven by her friend May Prond, Margie was killed by Carl Ford age 22. Ford was driving about 130 miles per hours, fleeing Toledo Police with his kidnapped girlfriend, Kim Maata age 17, in her car. Killed were May & Marjorie & Kim Maata. Carl Ford was convicted in Monroe, Michigan of three counts of murder.
