Margaret E Strycker, 211 Union St, Wakarusa, died Jan 6, 1995 at 2:15 am at the Elkhart General Hospital where she had been a resident for 11 days. She had been ill for several years.

She was born September 9, 1916 in Elkhart, Indiana the daughter of Lloyd E VanPelt and Ethel (Kantz) Strycker.

On September 1, 1945 she married Lamar F Strycker.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs Lewis (Lois) Torok of Elkhart Charlene Sekora of Elkhart and one brother, Louis VanPelt of Mishawaka.

She was preceded in death by her husband on January 27, 1993 three sisters, Magdalene Sprague (twin), Gertrude Laymon, Dorothy Swartzell and one brother, Charles VanPelt.

Funeral services were held January 8, 1995 at Reith-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart in Wakarusa. Pastor David Harper of the Bible Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in Olive West Cemetery, Elkhart County.

Mrs Strycker retired from the former Ball-Band Manufacturing in 1971, and was formerly an antique dealer. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Wakarusa. Memorial contributions may be made to Combined Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
