CLARKSVILLE, Texas-Erbie G . Aikin, 97, of Clarksville died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, in a local hospital. Mr Aikin was born Oct. 31, 1904 in Henrietta, Ark. He was retired from Red River Army Depot and a member of Williams Chapel United Methodist Church and Avery Masonic Lodge 921 AF&AM. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lilous Aikin, on Jan. 18, 1997. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Erbie and Margaret Aikin and J.C. and Sue Aikin of Clarksville: three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dorthy and Jim Bain of Annona, Texas, Bobbie Morgan of Clarksville, Texas and Floy and Gerald Webb of Garland, Texas, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Williams Chapel United Methodist Church with the Revs. James Brown and Pete Adrian officiating. Burial will be in English Cemetery under direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Visitation will be 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
