FIRST WIFE : Maria Louise Atkinson, b. ca. 1841, Morgan Co., GA and d. ca. 1883, Morgan County, GA. Married 14 DEC 1866 Morgan County, GA

Benjamin Franklin Adams (son of Johnthan Adams and Charity Coats)was born September 11, 1843 in Putnam County, Georgia, and died July 30, 1911 in Pennington Community, Morgan County, Georgia.

When Mr. Ben F. Adams died at his home in Pennington last Saturday Morgan County lost a mighty good citizen. He wa an old Confederate soldier, an honest man, true friend and kind neighbor. He was 68 years old, and has two living brothers, Messers Wm. and George W. Adams, of this county. He had been married twice, his last wife surviving him. He has five living children by his first wife and three by his last. His living children are S.D. Adams, Mrs. Ezra Rosencrance, Mrs. Cora Jones, Mr. H. B. Adams, Mrs. R. L. Gaissert, Misses Bessie, Lula, and Master Robert Adams.
The interment occurred at Antioch church, where he had worshipped for over 40 years. Services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Cox, and was largely attended.

Mr. Adams' death was caused by paralysis and he had suffered greatly for many years.
