Marcie Clara Wansing-Ready, 72 of Vienna, was born on August 17, 1940, at Vienna, a daughter of William and Clara (Zimmer) Buschmann and departed this life at 3:06 a.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at her residence.

She was first united in marriage on October 14, 1961, at Vienna, to Melvin W. Wansing, who preceded her in death on December 27, 1997. Marcie was later united in marriage on November 4, 2005, at Vienna, to Gerald F. Ready. In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her father on May 31, 1999; her mother on April 5, 1995; her father-in-law, William A. Wansing on January 13, 1997; one sister-in-law, Lillian Buschmann on July 28, 2007 and one brother-in-law, Robert W. Bax on June 29, 2003.

Mrs. Ready was a member of the Visitation Catholic Church in Vienna. She worked in her early years in the University Extension office. She kept books and helped in Wansing 66 family business for 20 years. She also worked for Chambers Store, The Flower Basket, South Central Livestock and the Circuit Clerk and Recorders office.

Mrs. Ready enjoyed her family very much, quilting with the church ladies, her flower gardens and playing cards. She loved country music and taking rides with her husband.

Survivors include: her husband, Gerald Ready of the home in Vienna; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda L. and Darrell Maples, Jefferson City; Linda S. and George Iven, Freeburg; Julie A. and Bill Meier, Vienna; one step-daughter, Lisa and husband Tim James, Freeburg; eight grandchildren, Sarah and Todd Kempker, Rebecca Maples, Brady and Brandon Iven, Jonathon, Corey and Malerie Meier; one step-grandson, Timmy James; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Rosie Buschmann, Vienna; Bernard and Theresa Buschmann, Freeburg; Lawrence and Dorothy Buschmann, Vienna; Bill and Diane Buschmann, Jefferson City; six sisters and five brothers-in-law, Rosie Leuthen, Vienna; Lee and Jerry Schwartze; Theresa and Stan Neuner; Mary and Dorsey Helton and Ann and Dennis Bax, all of Jefferson City; and Berniece and Claude Veasman, Brinktown; numerous nephews; nieces; great-nephews; great- nieces; and other relatives and friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Ready at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2013, in the Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna with the Rev. Msgr. Marion J. Makarewicz celebrating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2013, with a Prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2013, all in the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
