DEATHS - SIBLEY -- Verla H. Steinberg, 84, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., formally of Sibley, died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 16, 1989) at Fulton County Hospital, Salem, Ark. Grave side services will be at 11 A.M. Friday at Mount Hope Cemetery, Sibley, the Rev. Thomas D. Goodell officiating. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City.

She was born July 6, 1905 in Cropsey the daughter of Charles and Bertha Blundy Schade. She married Edward Steinberg on Jan 1, 1932. He survives. Other survivors include three daughters; a brother, Charles J. Schade, Cropsey; two sisters, Elsie Arrasmith, Fairbury, and Mildred Ackermann, Horseshoe Bend, Ark; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one son.

Mrs. Steinberg had been a resident of Horseshoe Bend for 17 years. She was a member of the Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church and the Drummer chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Gibson City. Memorials may be made to the Circles of the United Methodist Church, Horseshoe Bend, or the American Heart Association.

Services at Sibley, IL were December 22, 1989 at 11:00 am at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
