RoJean Franks Cottle was born to New Mexico ranchers Jack and Bea Franks on June 25, 1928 and went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2011 at the age of 82.

A long time resident of Deming, RoJean graduated from Deming High School and later owned and operated Bullock's Shoe Store. She and her husband, Robert E. Cottle later retired in Deming and were members of First United Methodist Church of Deming.

For many years, RoJean was involved and served in various capacities with the Border Belles, the Third Thursday Card Club, the 1940's Class Reunion Lunch Bunch, and the ESA Sorority. She was known for her care for older neighbors checking on them regularly and including them in family gatherings.

RoJean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert E. Cottle, and daughter, Marilyn Bullock Offutt. She is survived by her son, Rev. Bob Bullock of Galveston, Texas and grandchildren: Billy Jack Willie of Safford, Arizona; Kelly Riha, of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Kevin Offutt of Gilbert, Arizona; Jason Offutt of Cotton City, New Mexico; Charlotte Offutt Reagan of Deming; Conrad and Zachary Bullock, both of Austin, Texas, and Anna Cochran of Rockwall, Texas; and several great grand children.

A viewing is planned for Friday evening from 4 to 7 at Baca's Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 15 at the First United Methodist Church followed by a graveside service at Mountain View Cemetery. Rev. Ernie Vineyard, Pastor will preside.
