Don E. Winstead, 73, died Thursday at Meadows Memorial Hospital in Vidalia after a long illness.
The Marion,Ill., native was a member of Reidsville United Methodist Church and a member of the 60 More or Less Group, a retired chief accountant for the city of Jackson,Ill., a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the Morocco Shriners Temple in Jacksonville,Ill. He was a past member of the National Association of Accountants and a member of the Jacksonville Lions Club.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary B. Winstead of Reidsville; a daughter, Ms. Beth Winstead of Stone Mountain; two sons, Don E Winstead Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla., and Bob Winstead of Norcross; a brother, Robert Winstead of Nashville, Tenn., and a sister, Mrs. Bea Britton of Springfield, Iowa; three grandchildren and other relatives.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Reidsville United Methodist Church. burial in Reidsville City Cemetery.
