MRS HAROLD POTEET ;
Mrs.Harold Poteet,who lived at 2014 Fort Worth Ave.in Grand Prairie, died Monday at 6:40pm in Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas where she was a paitent.She had been in ill health the past few years. The former Miss Bonnie Juanita Barnes,was born Feb.19,1922 in Kaufman County. She moved to Paris with her family as a child and attended Paris Schools.She was married to Harold Poteet on Jan 20,1940 and they made their home here until moving to Grand Prairie in 1955. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4pm at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Victor Higgins,pastor of Eighth Street Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery, South of Paris at Biardstown.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Poteet, her mother Mrs. Maggie Barnes of Paris, four daughters: Mrs Johnny Moore,Mrs Horace Morris, Mrs.Leonard Scott and Miss Vanessa Poteet, all of Grand Prairie ; Four Sons C.H.Poteet of Pattonville, Ronny Poteet of Paris, John Poteet and Dale Poteet, both of Grand Prairie. Also five sisters: Mrs Marvin Lester, Mrs.Orville Lester,Mrs.Jack Reese,and Mrs.John Hargis, all of Paris and Mrs.Jessie Streeter of Clarksville; three brothers: Clarence Barnes of Bellville Mich., Roger Barnes and Claude Barnes both of Paris, and 13 grandchildren.
