James Wayne Herald
James Wayne Herald, 44, of Frisco, Texas, formerly of Nampa, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, in a Plano, Texas hospital after a short illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at the Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 3001 12th Rd. So., Nampa.
Burial will follow in the Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa. A viewing will be held today, Sunday, Oct. 4, at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So., Nampa.
Jim was born on Aug. 26, 1960, in Nampa, Idaho to Karon and Clyde Herald. He attended schools in Nampa and graduated from Nampa High School in 1978.
At the age of 16, he went to work for JC Penney Company at Karcher Mall in Nampa. He later went into management training with JC Penney and got his first job assignment in February of 1982, which took him to Twin Falls, Idaho.
Over the years, his career took him on to Woodland, Calif., Carson City, Nev., Salinas, Calif., and Modesto, Calif.
At the time of his death he was employed at the Corporate Office of JC Penney in Plano, Texas. He made many great friends at each location that he worked.
He will always be remembered by all by his contagious laughter. Jim loved to go camping in the mountains of Idaho and also relaxing on the beaches in California.
In 1991, he married Elizabeth Minchew.
Jim is survived by; his mother, Karon Herald of Nampa; two brothers, Kelly Herald of Nampa and Curtis and Cathy Herald of Nampa; one nephew, Christopher Herald of Nampa; one grandmother, Beulah Case-Torrey of Nampa; two uncles, Darrel and Kathy Case of Boise and Gary and Debbie Case of Portland, Ore.; two aunts, Oneta Silliker of Nampa and Juanita and Gilbert Davis of Nampa and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Herald; two grandfathers, Cecil Case and Ted Herald; and one grandmother, Cynthia Herald.
A Mother's love for her child is special and deep.
Jim, You will always live in my heart!
