Celia J. McCarthy , 92, of Syracuse , passed away on Sunday. Celia was a native of Cazenovia. For many years she was employed at the Catholic Shop and also at Neada. Celia was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and was a member of the Rosary Group and St. John's Guild. She was predeceased by her husband, Dennis in 1980.
Survivors include her sisters, Janet Dewey of Cazenovia, Lettie Vera DeSilva of Oneonta and Martha Smith of New Woodstock and many nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be on Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse . A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
