S/O W.C. Anderson, mother Caroline O'Neal. H/O Martha Elizabeth "Bettie" Metts, DOB 11-5-1869; DOD 03-27-1892. D/O Henry & Martha Ann Brigance Metts. Bettie is buried in Brownsville Cemetery, Hickman, KY. F/O George Ezra Anderson and Josephine Anderson Poynor.

Jess Anderson was a farmer in the Sassafras Ridge Community. He also operated a general store on #9 Lake in the early 1900's. He was loved and cherished by family and friends. Following is a piece of a tribute written by a grandchild after his death: "He lived by a special philosophy. No one was turned away from his feast. He believed food and kindness would tame man or beast." Uncle Jess as he was called was also a barber & violin player.
