Mrs. Cogan was born Nell Spencer June 3, 1918 in Tennessee, and she died in a Olney Hospital. She was married in 1938(stone gives 1939) in Denton to Howard Colgan.She had lived in Megargel about 25 years. She was a housewife, schoolteacher and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Gary Coon of Bryson and Kathy Colgan of Megargel; one grandson, Matthew Coon; three brothers, Floyd Spencer of Holliday, Marion Spencer of Nocona, and Lewie Spencer of Nicaragua; and a sister Mrs. Gilbert Finnell of Holiday
