Leslie Burton Crumm was born on October 29, 1921 in Verden, Oklahoma. He departed this life on February 21, 2011 at the age of 89 years in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Leslie was the son of Jackson Richard and Iris Irene Crumm.

As a young man Leslie worked on the family farm, then later when the family moved to Norge, he and his brother Riley worked for the Frisco Railroad. He married Kathleen Peden in Tuttle, Oklahoma. After marriage they moved to Oklahoma City where he worked for the Humane Society, then later for the Daily Oklahoman from which he retired after working several years.

Leslie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; four brothers: Riley, Frank, Samuel, and Richard; and five sisters: Ora, Bertha, Nora Wilda and Lela. Survivors include one sister, Wanda Ellis of Norge and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral service at this time. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Interment will be in the Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
