Ray was born and raised in Estherville and served in the US Marine Corps from 1956 – 1959. While on leave during Christmas in 1958 he met his future bride, Ardyce Lauritsen. They married on June 4, 1960. Ray worked at John Morrell for nine years and chose a new career and worked for Webb Implement in Estherville. In 1973 they moved to Dallas Center and Ray worked at John Deere in Dallas Center, Bohrofen Implement in Grimes and later at Des Moines Golf and Country Club. He opened his own business, Enderson Automotive, in Dallas Center and retired in 1993.
Ray is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ardyce, his sons, Neil (Stephanie) of Blue Springs, MO, Paul (Deanna) of Redfield, Glen of Dallas Center and Chris of Dexter; 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, his father, Clarence Enderson of Estherville, and one brother Robert (Nita) of Beaufort, NC. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Enderson.
