WILLIAM CRISS
William O. "Bill" Criss, 92, of Vienna, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at Veterans Administration Hospital, Huntington.
He was born in Big Bend, the son of the late Samuel Mack and Bertha Nelson Criss. He was a World War II Navy veteran who served in the Pacific, and was retired from DuPont, Washing-ton Works carpentry department.
Surviving are special friends, Mark and Jenny McClung and family, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Sylvia Phillips Criss, in 1999; four brothers; and seven sisters. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Services were held at Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Rev. A. Lindsay Thorp officiating. Burial was in Big Bend Cemetery.
