Hearld Edward Verneman Sr., 63, 314 W. Ninth St., died unexpectedly at 12:05 a.m. today at Ball Hospital. He was an employee of Chevrolet-Muncie for 28 years, a member of UAW-CIO Local 499 and the Jr. OUAM Lodge. Mr. Verneman attended the Five Points Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife, Goldie; three sons, Everett W., Bell, Calif., and Hearld Jr. and Delmer E., both of Muncie; three daughters, Mrs. Lyle Price, Jamestown, Tenn., Mrs. William R. Wright, Muncie, and Mrs. Rayzella Kaelin, Muncie; 20 grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Rosco Campbell, Mooreland.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Parson Mortuary with Rev. Doyle Hofferbert in charge. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 7 p.m. today.
