Barnett was born April 25, 1901, in Campbell. A retired auto dealer, he had owned and operated A.J. Barnett Motors in Olney for 40 years. He was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one son, Curtis Barnett of Sweetwater; two daughters, Mildred Louise Blundell of Granbury and Bettie Mae Wagner of Carson, Calif.; one brother, Fred Barnett of Wichita Falls; four sisters, Bessie La- Roe of Kaufman, Bonnie Speight of Dallas, Ruby Neal of Wichita Falls and Evelyn Cemelka of Sun City, Ariz.; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
