William Lamar Bakenhus, 79, of De Queen, Arkansas, died Saturday, April 27, 2002, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital.
He was born August 12, 1922 in De Queen. He was retired from Pilgrim's Pride where he was an assistant manager. He was a member of the Nazarene Church in De Queen and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife Beulah Wayland Bakenhus of De Queen; one daughter, one son and daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, one niece, and several nephews.
Graveside services were at 2 P.M. in Redmen cemetery with the Rev. Joyce McCown officiating. Burial under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
