Mr. Briegel was born March 18, 1883 in Chatfield township to Jacob and Rosina Burgbacher Briegel. He was united in marriage to Erna Clady who survives with six children, Virgil of Harpster, Cleo of Lykens and Paul Briegel of the U.S. Army, a step son, Oliver Bennett of Mansfield, Mrs. Richard Clady of Shelby and Mrs. Albert Gebhardt at home; one brother, Carl Briegel of Butler, Indiana; one sister, Mrs. Harry Omwake of Chatfield township and five granchildren.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church in New Washington.
funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 o'clck in St. John's Lutheran church with Rev. Paul Gerlach officating. Burial will be made in Windfall cemetery. R.L. Geiger Funeral directors of New Washington are in charge.
