Glode Requa, Sr. 71

Glode Requa, Sr., 71, died Saturday at his place of business in Monsey. He was descendant of Patroon Esler, one of the early Ramapo settlers.

An electrical contractor for over 50 years, he served with the 101st Infantry in World War I. He was a charter member of San Juan Romagne Post Spring Valley and former member of Fred Eller Post, Monsey.

He is survived by his widow, Frederica; a daughter, Mrs. William Layman of Monsey; sons Glode Requa Jr., of West Hartford, Conn. and Gene of Jefferson, Ohio; a brother, James of Monsey; sisters, Mrs. Marguerite Haring of Ridgewood, N. J., Mrs. John Hoffman of Monsey and Mrs. Russell of Newport and 15 grandchildren.

Services will be held tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at the Sniffen Funeral Home, 154 W. Central Ave., Spring Valley with the Rev. Russell Little and Rev. David Jenks officiating.

Interment will be at Brick Church Cemetery, Monsey.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
