DAVID AUSTIN
David Austin, 87, well known Claiborne resident who had been a blacksmith at Claiborne since 1880, but retired from active business about a year ago, died at his home April 26, 1945 at 12:30 A. M. following a six weeks illness of complications. He was a member of the Claiborne A. C. Church.

Mr. Austin son of Albert Austin and Mary Moore Austin was born Feb. 13, 1858 at Summersville. He was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Hull, who died 11 years ago.

Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Mabel James at home and Mrs. Opal Sanford at El Monte, California, also two sisters Mrs. Walter Fuchey, Findlay; and Mrs. Mattie Forderkong, Palmyra, NY; and a brother, Jesse Austin, Bellefountaine.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 P. M. in the A. C. church in Claiborne, Rev. Everett Fleming, officiating. Burial in charge of Marion Winter was in Claiborne cemetery.
