COOKEVILLE – Funeral services for J. Whitley Buck, 86, will be held in the chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home tomorrow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Sam Sims officiating. Burial will be in the Algood Cemetery.
Mr. Buck died Monday (may 27, 1985) in Hamilton County Nursing Home following an extended illness.
A native of Putnam County, he was the son of the late William Haws and Tennessee Bullington Buck.
Mr. Buck was a retired farmer.
His family includes his wife, Hennrietta McCormick Buck of Chattanooga; three sons, Willie Lewis Buck of MD, Marvin Buck of OK, and the Rev. Harold Buck of Chattanooga; 10 grandchildren; 2 greatgrandchildren; and two sisters, Beulah Bohannon of Cookeville and Frances Kin of McEwen, TN.
