Gerald D. Beeter, 65, Benedict, ND, died March 5, 2004 in a Minot hospital.

Gerald was born in Minot, ND on February 5, 1939, to Albert F. and Leanora (Wilson) Beeter. He was raised and educated in rural Minot, where he attended Bell School and later Minot High School. While attending school, he was active in Future Farmers of America and enjoyed playing baseball. He married Beverly Edwardson in October, 1957, and they had five children. They were later divorced. He married Darlene Gondringer on July 14, 1971 in Minot. They lived and raised their family in Velva and surrounding areas. In his younger years, he worked as a meat cutter for Taste Rite Foods, Piggly Wiggly and Dakota Meats, all of Minot. He owned and operated an independent trucking company for several years. He then went to work as a truck driver for Porter Brothers, Minot, and worked there for over 17 years before his retirement. He was living in Benedict until the time of his death.

His pride and joy was time spent with his grandchildren and family. He treasured the many card games played with family and friends during the holidays. His hobbies and interests included gardening, hunting, fishing, camping and taking evening drives in the country. He was an avid collector of porcelain dolls, and went to many auctions and antique sales in search of them.

His wife Darlene, father Albert, three brothers, Robert, Ronald and Bruce, and granddaughter DaLynn Austin-Beeter, preceded him in death.
