Geneva Anderson was born on January 3, 1916 in Durant, Oklahoma to Albert and Cena Harkins. She was raised in Tupelo and Erick Oklahoma. Her father was original enrollee of the Choctaw Nation in Indian Territory- Oklahoma. She married Rod Anderson on August 9, 1931 in Delhi Beckham county Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 2002. They lived in Snyder, Texas for several years before moving to Amarillo in 1996. Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, and gardening. She was also preceded in death by her parents, son Lewis Edward Anderson in 1935, Granddaughter Pam Porter in 2010, three brothers and two sisters. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Bivins Memorial Nursing Home and to Patsy Hubbard and Jerry Pickens for all ther loving care.
Survived by two daughters; Helen Porter and husband BeBe of Olathe, KS and Janice Hughes and special friend Jerry Pickens of Amarillo,one brother; Charles Harkins of Turlock, CA, one sister; Melba Polk of Tupelo, OK
Three Grandchildren Rod Porter of Kansas City, MO, Dana Higgs and husband Kal of Amarillo, Tim Smallwood and wife Kelly Great Granchildren Kallie McBride and husband Mitch, Kyle Higgs and wife Bianca, Saira Smallwood and Yvette Smallwood all of Amarillo Great-Great- Grandchild joining her legacy in April
