MERSHON - Lander J. Boatright, 76, died Feb. 18 at Satilla Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Bacon County and lived in Bacon and Pierce counties most of his life. He was a retired auto mechanic. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the Pacific Theater of operations. He attended Coffee Wesleyan Methodist Church.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Doris Steedley Boatright of Mershon; four daughters, Dale Waters of Nicholls, Gail White of Alma, Linda Miles of Mershon and Bobbie Clough of Blackshear; two sons, Larry Boatright and Wallace Boatright, both of Mershon; his mother, Ruby Harris Hallman of Alma; 21 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
SERVICE: 2 p.m. today at Wesley Chapel Church, burial in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
