Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by one brother, Melvin Abadie and wife, Betty, of Houma; two sisters, Dorothy Louviere of Houma and Clara Baudoin of Houma; one brother-in-law, Donald Pitre of Houma; and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Raymond (Irene) Abadie and Mrs. Clifford (Rose Ann) Abadie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Simeon Raymond Abadie and Aurore Cecile Waguespack Abadie; two brothers, Raymond "June" Abadie and Clifford Abadie; five sisters, Mercedes Cooper and husband Roy, Lucille Dupepe' and husband, Ferdinand, Grace Pitre, Carmen McDonald and husband, John, and Aurora "Ora" Dickerson and husband, Rayford, and two brothers- in-law, Lloyd Baudoin and Alvin Louviere.
He served in the U.S. Army. Special thanks to the physicians and staff at Terrebonne General who assisted in his care, Heritage Manor of Houma and Taddy Village.
