Cleo Christine Gore Hopson, 96, a former resident of the Falls Chapel community near Lockesburg, AR went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at MCSA in El Dorado, AR.
Mrs. Hopson was born October 1st, 1914 in the Dilworth community in Sevier County, AR. She was the daughter of Charles Thompson. and Lena Myrtle Brown Gore. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Neville Woodson Hopson, and brother, Sebren Gore.

She was a mother, housewife, wonderful cook, and long-time pianist for the Falls Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian and Old Time Gospel Churches.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Neville Don and Mary Ann Hopson of Magazine, AR; Jan and Tommy Canion of Fayetteville, AR; Charla and Bill McGovern of Albuquerque, NM; and Rodney and Deanna Hopson of El Dorado, AR; 14 grandchildren Wink, Karlyn, Shane, Travis, Thomas, Ann, Shaun, Brandon, Greg, Candace, Benjamin, Claire, Nichole, and Hanna,and 13 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Saturday from 3 to 5 pm at Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen. Funeral services were at 2 pm Sunday at Falls Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bill Odom officiating. Burial was in Falls Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
