Earl BOONE, 81, of Harlingen, Texas, formerly of Akron, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday at the Retama Manor nursing home, Harlingen. He was born Oct. 25, 1897 in Indiana. He was married to Ruth JENNING, who preceded in death. Mr. Boone is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eudora AUSTIN, New Albany; nine grandchildren, and to great-grandchildren. Cremation will be in Texas. The remains will be brought to Indiana and Sheetz funeral home, Akron, will handle local arrangements.

He was born Oct. 25, 1897 in Indiana. He was married to Ruth JENNING, who preceded in death. He had lived in the Akron area until 15 years ago. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eudora AUSTIN, New Albany; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be officiated by the Rev. Garth IREY.
