Mr. Roark was born on July 10, 1925 in Tullos to the union of Charlie and Ola Cockerham Roark and died Sunday, October 19, 1997 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia.
He was a retired forestry technician with Manville Forest Products. He was also a veteran of World War II and a member of the Grayson United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: his wife of 50 years, Frances McGee Roark of Grayson; his sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Alisha Roark of Monroe and Paul and Beth Roark of Columbia; his sisters, Olavee R Jackson and Jewell R. Knight, both of Grayson; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers: were Mark Knight, Kenneth Jackson, Roger Rowland, Glynn Benson, Mark McGee and Mike McGee.
Honorary pallbearers were: Benny Ray Cruse, Cedric Chapman, Bob McGee and Bill Knight.
