Sarah Jane Crail Jones was born in 1780 to James Crail and Elizabeth Bennington. (Elizabeth Bennington's daughter Sarah Jane Crail married William B. Jones son of her sister Sarah Bennington and Stephen Jones) She married William B. Jones on August 12, 1800 in Fleming County, Kentucky. She died in 1833 in Fleming County, Kentucky along with her husband's mother Sarah Bennington Jones who died in the Cholera Epidemic that struck Fleming county in 1833 along with 64 other people. There were thirteen people out of her family that died with three of them being her sons (my note: these three sons not in list of those listed on tombstone where Sarah is buried). Their bodies were taken to the end of the drive and buried across the road from the farm on Rt. #11 about 2 miles southwest of Flemingsburg, KY. The mass grave still stands surrounded by a low rock wall with four tombstones inside and flowers are still being left to this day. This is known as the Jones Cemetery.
Twelve known children were born to them, Cynthia, John, Michael, Constance, Stephen C., Charles, Elizabeth, Eva, Joseph, Lucinda, Ann, and Nancy.Sarah maried Wm. Jones. They died of cholera.
