Son of J. W. and Lillie Bridges Thompson. His memoriam/obiturary in the St. John's Herald (church bulletin) February 1935.
Crawford W. Thompson was born in Cruthersville, Indiana, on the 20th day of July, 1889. He was united in marriage with Ida Pardieck in Columbus, Indiana, on the 21st day of July, 1912, whereupon they came to this city of Indianapolis to establish their home here. Here the deceased lived until God called him to his eternal reward, Sunday, December the 2nd, at 11 o'clock in the evening. His passing is a great loss, not only to those nearest him, but also to those of his wider circle of friends, and not the least, to the church which he was a part. Mr. Thompson was beloved and held in high regard by all because of his sterling qualities of character. His word was true, there was no falsehood in him, he lived his life simply, but sincerely and honestly. -- He was also a member of the Brotherhood organization, and it is here he will be missed most in his connection with the church. But we shall not mourn as those without hope, for we know that according to his faith he has gone to his reward. Those surviving are the widow, the mother, Mrs. Lillie Thompson of Columbus, Indiana, two brothers, Curtis of Billings, Montana, and Cecil of Columbus, Indiana, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Kirby of Bedford, Indiana, and Mrs. Edith Henderson of this city. Besides these he is mourned by many relatives and friends. His life numbered 45 years, 3 months, and 13 days.
