Lawrence A. GAGNON, 58, R.R. 1, Silver Lake, died at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday at Parkview hospital in Fort Wayne, where he had been a patient for one day. He had been ill for seven years and had become critical the past three weeks. Mr. Gagnon was born Dec. 5, 1914 at New Waverly to Edward and Armin BLAIR GAGNON. He was married Feb. 22, 1936 in Akron to Ruth WILLIAMS, who survives. He lived most of his life in the Akron-Silver Lake areas. He was a farmer and was a member of the Silver Creek Church of God. Surviving with the wife are two daughters, Mrs. Morris (Jeannine) HACKWORTH, Des Moines, Ia., and Mrs. Larry (Nancy) RHODES, R.R. 1, Silver Lake; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Loretta HANCOCK, Akron; seven brothers, Walter [GAGNON], North Manchester; O'Neal, Rosewell and Orville [GAGNON], all of Akron; Arthur [GAGNON], Claypool, Russell [GAGNON], South Whitley; Blair [GAGNON], New Haven. A son, a sister and two brothers preceded in death. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Silver Creek Church of God with the Rev. George CONSTANCE officiating. Burial will be in the Silver Creek cemetery. Friends may call at the Sheetz funeral home in Akron after 2 p.m. today until noon Thursday and at the church for one hour prior to service.
