The ARLINES were some of the first to settle in what is now CAIRO, GRADY COUNTY, GEORGIA USA. Mrs. Adolyn Arline MacQuiddy was a school teacher in the Grady County School System, and finished her career teaching 5th Graders. She taught at the original Cairo High School that in 1960 became Southside Elementary School where she finished her career. The Arline Home was originally located on the 100 block next to the Cairo Presbyterian Church, that now owns the land there. The two-story house she was raised in was moved to the Meigs Highway north of Cairo and is still in use today. Two of her sisters are MRS. CHARLES (ARLINE) WHATLEY and MYRTICE (ARLINE) MOORE.
