She was born in Dickenson County, Virginia; daughter of the late Daniel and Hannah Blair Ramsey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest C. Riner, Jr.; four sons, Dwaine Riner, Dudley Riner, James Riner, and Louie Riner; one daughter, Connie Riner Long; three grandchildren, T-Tom Riner, Chad Long, and Raymond Riner; one brother; six sisters. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Riner White of Bristol, Virginia, Lily Riner Turner of Abingdon, Virginia, and Sue Riner Biggs of Front Royal, Virginia; three sons, Randy Riner of Castlewood, Virginia, Dean Riner of Abingdon, Virginia, and Eddie Riner of Abingdon, Virginia; three sisters, Lockie Kilburn of Kingsport, Tennessee, Louvenia Austin of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Arbutus Goins of Kingsport, Tennessee; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral Services for Edra Augustia Riner will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Elmo Warner officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Carter Riner, Marcus Long, Marvin Riner, William Riner, Brandon Turner, Andrew Riner, Christopher Riner, Terry Riner, and James Riner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jennifer Roy and Carrie Riner.
