Raymond B. "Bud" Alt, Upper Tract, W.Va., died Sept. 23 at his home. He was born March 14, 1937, at Smoke Hole, W.Va. He was the son of the late Frank J. Alt and the late May C. VanMeter Alt. He was a member of Laborers Local 984, Clarksburg, W.Va., and a member and treasurer of Christ Central Community Church, Upper Tract. He served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ervin Alt; a sister Bessie Kimble; and an infant sister, Bertha Alice Alt. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Joyce Cook Alt; one son Bruce Alt and wife, Elizabeth, of Upper Tract; two daughters, Dianna Hevener and husband, David, of Franklin, W.Va. and Sharon Evick and husband, Steve, of Sterling; four grandchildren, Chad and Melissa Alt, and Wesley and Nathaniel Hevener; seven sisters, Wilma Wagner of Landes, W.Va., Zola Kile of Upper Tract, Kathleen Raker of Williamport, Pa. Thomasine Berg of Maysville W.Va. and Ganel Armentrout, Millie Hedrick and Sheila Jean Kimble, all of Upper Tract; five brothers Burley Alt of Baltimore, Md., William "Jim" Alt of Lahmansville, W.Va., Charles F. "Bo" Alt of Petersburg, W.Va., Loy A. "Bubby" Alt of Green Springs, W.Va., and James "Pete" Alt of Warrenton, Va. one stepbrother, Roger Alt of Upper Tract; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral was Saturday at Christ Central Community Church with the Rev. Edgar Null officiating, Interment was at Kline Cemetery, Kline, W.Va. Pallbearers were Rick Shobe, Harold Arbogast, James Holloway, Tom Mooney, Brian Calhoun, Dennis Calhoun, Mike Calhoun and Fred Shobe. Nieces and nephews served as honorary pallbearers.
