Loved by all his family he was the husband of Jacquelyn Bavier (1920-1989). They had three sons-Paul Bassett, Christopher Briggs, and Neil Belden. He lived a long and happy life and is greatly missed by his three sons and wives (Marian Lee Hill, Nancy Vogt, and Sharon, six grandchildren (Lori Lee & spouse Robert Pruett, Paul Tad & spouse Cindy Batey, Patrice & spouse Lee Crenshaw, Richard, Max & Marcy), and eight greatgrandchildren (Aimee Lee, Erin Rylea, Hallie Jacquelyn, Darcie Jewel, Richard, Jackson Kenneth, Irie, & Edie).
