OBIT in the Iron County Register:
Editor Eli D Ake

Died-At her residence in Russellville, Thursday, January 12, 1911, at 8 o'clock a. m. Mrs. Harriet P Farrar, relict of the late G. W. Farrar, Sr aged 77 years, 10 months, and 18 days.
With the death of Mrs. Farrar passes away the last surviving member of that Russell family which migrating from Connecticut, settled in the Arcadia Valley--then almost an unbroken wilderness--in 1837. The family then consisted of father Cyrus Russell Sr, mother, five sons--
Cyrus, Henry, Theodore, Giles, and William--and four daughters--the late Mrs. A. F. Guild, Mrs. N. C. Griffith,
Mrs. John Smith and the subject of this brief sketch.
It was my privledge to know them all and to witness how they wrought for the advancement and welfare of the community. Under their care and sturdy labor the wilderness disappered and the late unbroken ground made to yield its fruits. Church and school were established, and the civilization known to their eastern home was here tranplanted. The influence of these men and women were for good, and the present generation owes more to them than we can well conceive. But they are gone, and the places that knew them know them no more! It is the way of the world.
Deceased was married to the late Dr G. W. Farrar, Sr. in 1856 who departed this life in 1908. Five children, four sons and a daughter survive them. Mrs. Farrar's funeral occurred from the residence Friday afternoon and interment made in the Russell Cemetery.
