Rose Ana Holran was born in 1870 in Brooklyn, New York to Thomas Holran Sr. and Rose Anna Joyce. She was the third oldest of nine siblings and worked as a math teacher in Brooklyn. Her siblings were: Catherine "Cassie" Holran (1864-1938); Thomas Holran Jr. (1866-1926); Mary Jane Holran (1872-?); Rev. Edward Holran (1874-1927); George Holran (1876-1924); *Charles Holran (10/24/1879-1942); Joseph Holran (1897-1979) and John Holran (after 1880-1940). Her brother Charles Holran married Maude O'Donnell and together they had Audrey Holran Brosnan, mother to my husband Peter L. Brosnan. Rose's sister Mrs. Mary Holran Clark had at least one daughter named Natalie Clark.
