Porter P. Higginbotham, Jr., died six o'clock Wednesday evening in the Glendale Hospital at Palatka from injuries received in an automobile accident near Bunnell early Sunday morning.

Mr. Higginbotham was 20 years of age and had resided in Flagler County since childhood. He was married to Miss. Effie Crews, also of Bunnell, on December 24, 1941.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Effie Higginbotham of Bunnell; his mother, Mrs. P. P. Higginbotham, Bunnell; his father, P. P. Higginbotham of West Palm Beach; one sister, Marie of Bunnell; and four brothers, Jack Higginbotham of the U. S. Army and stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia; Gilbert Higginbotham of the U. S. Army and stationed at MacDill Field, Tampa; Harold Higginbotham and Clifford Higginbotham of Bunnell.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon from the First Baptist Church at two o'clock with Rev. R. P. Tomlinson, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial services will follow at the Espanola Cemetery.

Pallbearers are: Eugene Bowers, Walton Johnston, Howard Bankston, Waldon Durrance, Tommy Salyerds and. Shelton Barber.
