Martha Ann Pennington was the second wife of Richardson "Dick" Withrow who died in 1907. They had two children, Elmer and Maude Ethel. She also had four children by a previous marriage to James Madison "Matt" Haws: Leroy, Laura, Frank and Minnie. Martha's mother, Mary (Plumly) Pennington, remarried between 1860 and 1870 after Uriah Pennington's death to an unknown gentleman named Frame. Often Martha's maiden name is incorrectly listed as Frame since her mother used that name until she died in 1900.

There does not appear to be a tombstone for Martha in Bailey.
