Dies at Macon Friday

---Mrs. Mayme Lodema Dorman of Peoria, Ill., a native of Knox County, died unexpectedly at 3:45 O'clock Friday afternoon, June 4, 1954, at the age of 47 years at the home near Macon of her sister, Mrs. Claud Newkirk, whom she was visiting.
---Funeral services were at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the La Plata Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. J. Truman Quigley. Burial was in the La Plata cemetery.
---Mrs. Dorman is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lois McCluskey of Peoria and Miss Loraine Dorman and Mrs. Donna Fladt of Burlington, Iowa; two sons, Ronald Dorman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Royce Dorman of Wayne, Pa., a brother, E. W. Platz of Columbia; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie May of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Dale Fry of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Newkirk, at whom home death came, and three grandchildren.
---As Mayme Lodema Platz, Mrs. Dorman was born Nov. 8, 1906, in Knox County, a daughter of Joseph E. and Estelle L. Platz. She was married to Ray Dorman, who preceded her in death May 8, 1945.
---Mrs. Dorman was formerly a teacher in the schools of Macon County. She was a member of the Locust Hill Methodist Church.
