Funeral services for Fred H. Lewin, who died Wednesday afternoon after an extended illness, were held at the home, 508 Pecan avenue, yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock with Rev. John Moore Walker, rector of St. Peter's Episcopal church, in charge, and Rev. John Long Jackson, rector of St. Martin's Episcopal church, assisting. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery.

Acting as honorary pallbearers were H. C. Cassells, James L. Scruggs, H. A. Allen, Floyd Strawn, Dr. McGregor, L. E. Dietz, T. T. Greene, C. Weatherly and Dr. Lucius Gage. Active pallbearers were R. A. Hicks, C. E. Wakefield, M. deC. Cointer, Henry Barger, Oscar Montgomery, and H. C. Giles.

Mr. Lewin was 69 years old and had been for the past 30 years connected with McFadden Brothers, cotton brokers. He was born in Birkenhead, England, the son of Henry Lewin and Mary Vickers Lewin.
