A native of Sugar Grove, he was the son of the late James Elijah and Loretta Davis Cole: and husband of the late Bonnie Fletcher Cole.
Mr. Cole was a retired self-employed carpenter and farmer and a member of the Sugar Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include a niece and three grand-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Fletcher Cole, his parents, a sister, Carrie Lee Cole Wilson and a brother-in-law, Woodrow Wilson.
Services will be conducted at 2 pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Herbert McCoy and Rev. James Hagaman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
