Brown, Mary Taylor and Sallie Mitchell. The family moved to Sand Mountain in the early 1920s, where she met and married George D. Sizemore in 1928. They were blessed with five children, Suevilla Pendergrass (the late Gordon), George Lee (Joyce), Sara Lindsay, Sharlon Knight (Charles G.) and Charles Edward (Debi).

She lived next to Sylvania School for 60 years, and she was a favorite substitute teacher in the 1960s and 1970s. Many students went to her house after band, cheerleader, football and basketball practice to "use her phone to call home." She was always hospitable. She was a wonderful cook and a joy to all who knew her.

At Gadsden Health Care where she lived for the last six years, she quoted John 3:16 to all she met. When other memories failed her, she could still remember hymns and Bible verses and quoted and sang them often. She will be missed.
