After graduation he was employed at the Federal Land Bank in Baltimore and served during World War II being attached to the Supreme Headquarter in Paris. He also attended Georgetown University. For the last 10 years he lived with his parent. He was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his parents and a brother, Irvin P. Beard Jr., Waynesboro; two sisters, Mrs. Caroll Biser, Rockville, Md. and Mrs. Joseph Allison, Reno, Nev.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew Church. Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Joseph Braubitz. Burial will be made in St. Andrew Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 until 9 Wednesday evening at the Grove Funeral Home. Prayers will be recited a 8 o'clock.
