Obituary of Davonta Monquale Robertson
July 12, 1994 - January 26, 2010

On July 12, 1994, Debra and Donald Robertson were blessed with a beautiful angel name Davonta. Although faced with challenges, Davonta and his devoted parents made the best out of it. Devonta began school at the age of three and was currently attending Gulfport High School. When his health allowed him to, he enjoyed going to school along with his life time assistant, Ms. Kay Holley.

He loved Sponge Bob Square Pants and Sponge Bob's friends. He never missed an episode. His favorite hobby was listening to music, very loud music. His life was fulfilled by joy and laughter. But most of all he loved his brother, Damaro, and father dearly. The main thing he loved was waiting for his school bus, and getting to class to show off his big smile. He loved to keep a smile on his face at all times.

He is preceded in death by his great grandfather, Robert C Thompson, Sr. grandfathers, Donald Robertson, Sr., James Maye Jr., great uncle, Mike Maye, uncle, Johnny Byrd Jr., cousin, Donald Hawthorne and Robert D Thompson.

He is survived by his dedicated parents: Donald and Debra Robertson of Gulfport; brothers: Damaro and Tiaja Robertson and Fredrick Thompson of Gulfport; sisters: Brittany Waltkins of Mobile AL and Kayla Quiller of Gulfport; grandparents: Annie Johnson of Gulfport and Barbara and Haywood Pettway of Mobile AL; great grandparents: Viola Thompson of Gulfport and Rev. James and Jessie Maye; godmother: Kay Holley of Biloxi; aunts: Camako Byrd, LaShan (Keith) Thompson, Shannika (Ronald) Guy all of Gulfport, Angela Johnson of CA, Loary Bullard of Prentiss, MS, Adrain and Cedric Harris of Houston TX, Wanda and Shavonne Robertson of Mobile, AL; uncles: Bobby Jones of Gulfport, Donnie and Patrick of Mobile, AL; special niece: Daziya Robertson; special cousin: Lil Keith Gardner.

The Robertson's family thanks each of you for everything you may have done, thought or said during our hour of bereavement. We thank God for our families, friends, and associates for their strengths and uplifting spirits. Without God's love and yours we do not know what we would have done. We hope this day will bring families closer than they have ever been. Thank you to the faculty and staff of Gulfport High School, Dr. Bryant McCarey, Kay Holley, Judy Carll, Sandra Corley, Derek Beasley and Tamaka Boyd, James Lewis, John Maye, Rev's. Melvin and Cora Walker
Families need each other and friends to make it in this day and time. And, we all need God. He is the only way we can live prosperous lives. Put Him first and He will do everything you ask of Him.
The Family of Davonta Robertson.
